The Challenge
The developer required the installation to meet Future Homes Standard requirements, and the system needed to be designed from scratch in coordination with the floor screed contractors. Timing was critical to allow the screed to cure before commissioning.
Our Solution
We worked directly with the developer's site team to install the underfloor heating manifolds and pipework before the screed was poured. The 8 kW Vaillant arotherm+ was commissioned once the screed had fully cured, with a Vaillant sensoHOME controller providing room-by-room temperature control.
The Outcome
The home has achieved an EPC rating of A. Running costs for the first full winter season were just £580 — significantly below estimates. The homeowners are now considering adding solar panels to further reduce energy bills.
