Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS)

OZEV grant covering up to £350 per socket (max 40 sockets) toward EV charger installation at business or charity premises.

The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) covers 75% of EV chargepoint costs up to £350 per socket, with a cap of 40 sockets per applicant. It is available to UK-registered businesses, charities, public sector organisations and SMEs. The application is straightforward: business applies for a voucher code, presents it to an OZEV-authorised installer, and the grant is deducted from the invoice.

Typical commercial installs in Cornwall under WCS include offices, holiday parks, hotels, GP surgeries and pubs, with site sizes ranging from 2 to 20+ chargers. The 40-socket cap means even larger sites can claim significant grant value (£14,000 max).
