OZEV EV Chargepoint Grant
A £350 (75% up to £350) UK grant toward the cost of a home EV chargepoint, available to flat-dwellers and those without dedicated off-street parking via cross-pavement solutions.
The OZEV EV Chargepoint Grant (formerly EVHS) provides £350 toward home EV charger installation. The eligibility was tightened in 2022: it is now available primarily to flat-dwellers, leaseholders, and renters in single-unit properties — homeowners in standalone houses no longer qualify.
A separate grant covers cross-pavement charging solutions (Kerbo Charge, Gul-e, Charge Gully) for households without driveways, important in many Cornwall terraced streets in places like Camborne, Redruth and Penzance. Local authority funding via LEVI (Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure) supplements this for on-street public-facing chargepoints.
For most CCS Cornwall residential customers in detached or semi-detached homes, the grant does not apply, but the install is still typically £750-1,200 (Ohme ePod, Hypervolt Home 3, Easee, Wallbox Pulsar Plus). For workplaces, see the Workplace Charging Scheme. Visit our EV charger installation page or call 01209 596 002.
